The Online Nurse Refresher Program is a "hybrid" online offering - combining web-based study with learning opportunities/experiences in the ICC Health Skill Lab and on a hospital medical surgical unit with an approved nurse preceptor. This particular ICC program was the first in the state of Illinois to be offered in this innovative non-credit format. It is specifically designed for busy individuals who need flexibility in managing their learning experience. This program is available to nurses, both LPNs and RNs, and is ideal for those who have maintained licensure*, but have not worked in nursing for some time. The goal is to allow nurses to update their theoretical knowledge and clinical skills so that they may comfortably move into the nursing workforce.
The cost for RN Online Refresher is $1,180 and includes all instruction, skills lab and clinical placement. The cost for LPN Online Refresher is $1,015. Both programs also require an additional fee of $41 for a background check. Individuals in both programs will incur additional costs for textbooks, reference guides, physical exam, immunizations, and other medical items.
This flexible, open-ended program enables you to start whenever is convenient for you! Completion of the course must be done within one year from the start date. If you are looking to boost your knowledge base and feel more confident as you re-enter the workforce, this program may be for you.

*If professional nursing licensure has not been renewed or has been inactive for more than five years, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (www.idfpr.com/DPR/) oversees the reinstatement process with one of the following:
1) certification of active practice in another jurisdiction;
2) proof of the successful completion of the NCLEX exam or
3) an affidavit attesting to military service.

Cancellations
A 70% refund of the course fee will be given if notification is
provided via email (egeorge@icc.edu ) or by phone (309-690-6909) by the end of the second business day following the student's orientation.
No further refunds will be given after that time.
Refunds
If your payment was made with a credit card, your refund will be issued back to your credit card. If your payment was made with cash or check, a refund
check will be issued to you.
Note: We reserve the right to cancel workshops due to insufficient enrollment. In the event of a cancellation, you will be notified and workshop fees will be refunded.
